Artist Name: “Skrillex”

Skrillex is part of the dubstep early craze and his remixes were and still are huge all over the internet. In the year of 2011, Skrillex had two remixes that were in the top 10 of Facebook’s songs played throughout the entire year. Do the math on that. In the year of 2011, Skrillex had 2 of 10 of facebook’s top played songs for an entire year. That means something there.

People seem to have a hobby of bashing Skrillex and saying that he is super over rated and he is only so popular because his weird style of the start of dubstep trends.

But when you actually do some research before bashing him with those ideas, you will find out that he actually has put in his time in the music business prior to his dubstep tunes and was even in a prior emo band where started as part of the band and somehow worked up to the lead vocalist.

But “Skrillex isn’t true dubstep!” Right?! Haha. If Skrillex is not dubstep, than what is the genre then?? Answer me that know it alls? The songs are remixed with huge amounts of bass and went platinum for people liking to listen to the tunes. If His story is that weak then why the heck are so many people downloading his music for pete’s sake!?

There will be no way in hell that were jumping on board with bashing Skrillex around here because he is a full on dubstep artist that has made his way to the top and probably working harder to do so than most dubstep artists that have also made it there as well.

Skrillex has also won a grammy. I don’t think there is much more to say after the fact of him winning a grammy do you? That is a pretty crazy defeat to bring home a grammy as a music producer.

With his unique trends of haircuts and styles, he has pretty much changed the game as a whole. A damn hair cut is pretty much named after him! I think what people are bugged out by him is what toll he has brought besides his crazy popular music. You could say the same think about a crazy hit star in the 1980′s as well.

The skrillex style is basically a bunch of glitch and heavy like noises just like any other dubstep remix except his remixes are very well blended together and has a good taste for will become popular and what people will love.

To add to that, he does also have horrible remixes that have done nothing. So with the good comes the bad. It might be different if it were the case of every track he produces goes platinum but that is not the case.
