I keep hearing this term called dub step around my friends. They keep talking about it like it's some sort of underground club or something. I've no idea what the think this is. I've tried to determine what it is by using the context of what they are talking about but I just can't figure it out. What is dub step and what does it mean?

Dub step is a type of music that is somewhat new to the music industry. It is a combination of different beats and electronic sounds and music to make a steady theme of the song. It's very open to what it can be and sounds can be from anything.
All the way from bells and whistles a dog growling into microphone. Why people seem to like it is because it brings a lot of expression through the music. With just about every type of mood available to the music group, it is very popular on different levels.
For instance, if you're feeling down in loopy, you can listen to downbeat slow dub step tunes. Or if you're feeling crazy on a Saturday night, you can hit the nightclub with rage dub step that involves a lot of techno and fast dance beats.

In my opinion this John wrote music is booming so fast because people love crazy things like this. It's almost like getting all the Exide he owned your brain at one point and it is coming out and sounds.
There are literally no limits to what dub step can be or what you could make. The music originated in South London and started there. Not that you care where it originated from, but it's somewhat of a big deal to give credit where originated.
The originators of dub step originally started with drum and bass into the music. Those are still the two main components in the sound of dub step. Base is probably the biggest and baddest sound of all and the world of dub step.
What's cool about dub step is that you can take any song in basically remix it to a dub step version. Which is what people are doing all over the Internet and all over the world. The music is usually shuffled and remixed with different sounds that sound what is on a person mind are what they desire.
